If you’ve ever experienced a Reiki session, you know what that experience is like. You enter a dark room with soft, relaxing music playing and lay on a massage table. The practitioner then places their hands on specific parts of your body as they move around the table. You lay still and enjoy the experience. Many people think this is the same method to use with animals, but I’ve found nothing could be farther from the truth.
I began my Reiki studies over eighteen years ago, and the first class taught me the typical western method used with people. I couldn’t wait to use what I learned to help my pets, but I was soon disappointed. My efforts were met with disapproval.
My two-year-old Jack Russell terrier was lying next to me on the couch. This did not happen very often, so I was excited to use my newly acquired knowledge and offer her Reiki. I placed my hands on her, and she immediately jumped off the couch, went across the room, and gave me a dirty look. From that day on, I could never put my hands on her to give her Reiki. She did, however, sit on the other end of the couch when I did my self-practice.
I didn’t know it then, but I had done everything wrong. I didn’t ask her permission, and I didn’t allow her to choose touch. I also didn’t realize that when she sat on the far end of the couch, that was her way of accepting the Reiki energy.
After I discovered the Let Animals Lead® method of Animal Reiki, my relationship with animals transformed.
The Let Animals Lead® method of Animal Reiki is not the typical western method of Reiki. There are a few fundamental differences you can expect when you sign up to learn Let Animals Lead®.
First, it is based on meditation. Through regular practice of meditation, the student learns to make a spiritual connection with animals. Meditation develops an “all is well” attitude. You become more peaceful and compassionate, and animals can sense this in a person.
Second, the Let Animals Lead® method of Animal Reiki allows the animal to choose how to participate in the Reiki session. There are no hand positions; touch is used only when the animal asks for it.
Let Animals Lead® is a philosophy and a way of interacting with other species. It transforms lives- the lives of animals and people who adopt this way of living.
When you sign up for a Let Animals Lead Animal Reiki class, you begin a transformation journey. Yes, you learn how to offer Reiki to animals, but it goes much deeper than that. You delve into the souls of animals. You learn to understand their wisdom and their gifts. You hear their silent language.
My next online Let Animals Lead® class is beginning July 8, 2021. Learn how to comfort and support your pet, or add it to your Reiki business. You can find out more at: http://animal-bonds.com/what-pets-wish-you-knew/
